Position OverviewParsons is now hiring a Municipal Principal Engineer to support our municipal clients. We have been improving infrastructure in Canada since 1964. In this position you will perform various engineering and design assignments related to municipal roads, drainage and utilities, and both design and construction supervision requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories studied in a Bachelor Degree university engineering program, and available data in the engineering field. In addition, you may assist in field inspections and the preparation of inspection reports.
Responsibilities- Independently develops engineering designs for roads, drainage and hydrology, utilities, and related municipal projects.
- Typical products may include detailed calculations, drawings, specifications, procurement documents, design and installation packages, construction plans and documents, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
- Prepare permit documents, quantity calculations, estimates and produce/check engineering analytical data and related information to ensure the design/technical reports are accurate.
- Provides support for other engineering activities as required.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- 4‑year degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 12 or more years of related work experience with civil engineering.
- P.Eng. Certificate is preferred.
- Preferred proficiency using civil/drainage related design software. For example, experience with some or all of the following will be considered:
AutoCAD Civil3D and/or Micro Station V8i, Geopak, InRoads, Storm
CAD, EPA‑SWMM, ArcGIS, SMS w/ SRH‑2D, Hydro
CAD Storm Sewers, Civil Storm, Inroads Storm and Sanitary, HEC‑HMS and HEC‑RAS software, or other PC software packages.

SalaryRange
$95,300 - $177,100
