Description
The Keuka College Division of Nursing is seeking enthusiastic clinicians with the expertise to guide and mentor students in off-campus clinical settings at the undergraduate level. The ideal candidate will provide hands‑on instruction, promote meaningful learning experiences, and support students in meeting clinical competencies and program outcomes. Applicants must demonstrate advanced knowledge, and clinical skills appropriate to their area of practice.
The following areas of clinical practice are needed:
- Medical/Surgical
- Maternity/Women’s Health
- Pediatrics
- Psychiatric Behavioral Health
This is a pool position. The applicant pool will be accessed in the event of a hiring need for any of the above‑mentioned areas. Qualified applicants will be contacted for an interview as needed.
- Direct, manage, and evaluate student learning during clinical experiences at local healthcare facilities.
- Facilitate the development of students’ nursing skills, standards of practice, and clinical reasoning skills.
- Assist the students’ integration of theory and practice, specific to course learning outcomes, learning activities, and the level of the learner.
- Observe and evaluate student performance regularly, providing constructive written and verbal feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and clinical observations
- Collaborate with course instructors on student learning activities, progress, and concerns.
- Foster a positive learning environment through strong professional relationships with healthcare facility staff.
- Serve as a role model, promoting professionalism, critical thinking, and ethical practice in nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing and current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in New York State.
- Master of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in relevant nursing specialties within the last five years; prior teaching or clinical supervision experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
