Software Engineer
Akkodis is seeking an SAP ABAP for a Contract with a client in Parsippany, NJ. This role requires strong expertise in core ABAP, OOABAP, and enhancement frameworks while supporting upgrades and ensuring high‑quality, optimized code.
Rate Range: $70/hour to $75/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Responsibilities Include
- Develop and maintain custom SAP ABAP objects including reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms (Smart Forms, SAPscript, Adobe Forms).
- Implement enhancements and modifications using User Exits, BADIs, and other SAP enhancement frameworks.
- Build and support interfaces using BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, and Web Services to enable cross‑system integration.
- Perform code optimization, performance tuning, and advanced debugging to ensure system stability and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with functional consultants to gather requirements, perform testing, and resolve defects.
- Support SAP upgrades and migration activities while ensuring technical compliance and maintaining detailed documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 6–10+ years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience.
- Strong expertise in core ABAP, OOABAP, forms (Smart Forms/SAPscript/Adobe), enhancement frameworks, and performance tuning.
- Proven experience with SAP interfaces (RFC, BAPI, IDoc, Web Services) and supporting upgrades/migrations while collaborating with functional teams.

Pay Details: $70.00 to $75.00 per hour
