The Quality Assurance Coordinator supports manufacturing operations by overseeing site-level quality assurance activities and ensuring products and processes meet internal, customer, and regulatory standards. This role serves as the primary quality contact on-site, partnering closely with production, engineering, inspectors, suppliers, and customers to drive compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Coordinate and maintain quality systems, procedures, work instructions, and control plans to support compliance with established standards
- Serve as the primary contact for quality-related issues, including supplier material concerns and customer feedback
- Initiate and manage nonconformances, corrective actions, and preventive actions to address root causes and avoid recurrence
- Prepare, review, and manage quality documentation and reports such as FAI, PPAP, 8D, KPIs, and performance metrics
- Monitor customer portals and manage administrative aspects of quality reporting and issue resolution
- Review and validate inspection and quality reports prior to submission
- Track, analyze, and report quality metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Coordinate internal audits and support external certification audits as scheduled
- Oversee calibration activities, ensuring schedules, records, and traceability are maintained
- Manage nonconforming material processes, including quarantine areas and associated documentation
- Provide training and guidance on quality processes, standards, and best practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support production, clarify drawings, and resolve quality-related questions
- Support inspection activities as needed and promote a strong, site-wide quality culture
- Minimum of three years of quality assurance and quality control experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience completing FAI and PPAP/APQP documentation
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
