We are representing a FORTUNE 500 Aerospace Manufacturing organization seeking a Site Supply Chain Leader due to a recent internal promotion. This role will report directly to the VP/General Manager with a strong dotted-line relationship to the Global Director of Supply Chain.
The Site Supply Chain Leader will have strategic and operational ownership of campus-wide planning, production/inventory control, and shipping/logistics across a $700M operation with 800+ employees, leading a team of 10 direct reports. This role is highly visible, data-driven, and critical to meeting aerospace customer delivery, cost, and compliance requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Own and lead all materials planning, production/inventory control, and logistics activities across a large-scale aerospace manufacturing campus, inclusive of full departmental budget responsibility.
- Provide strategic leadership and daily direction aligned with plant, division, and enterprise-level business objectives while supporting long-range capacity and demand planning initiatives.
- Maintain end-to-end ownership of the Master Production Schedule (MPS), ensuring alignment with customer demand, manufacturing capacity, supplier performance, and inventory targets.
- Act as a key thought partner to the VP/GM on demand planning, capacity constraints, and risk mitigation, particularly in a make-to-order / engineered-to-order aerospace environment.
- Drive continuous improvement through structured problem-solving methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis) to resolve plant, supplier, and customer-driven material flow issues.
- Lead and develop a high-performing planning and materials organization, ensuring accountability for service levels, inventory turns, schedule adherence, and on-time delivery.
- Direct process improvements and corrective actions across materials and logistics functions to improve schedule stability, inventory optimization, and working capital performance.
- Provide key input into the development of the campus and departmental strategic business plan, including identification, tracking, and execution of critical KPIs.
- Interface directly with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure material availability, delivery performance, and supply continuity in support of aerospace program commitments.
- Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree and/or certifications strongly preferred (MBA, Master’s, CPIM, CSCP, Six Sigma).
- 3–5+ years of leadership experience in Materials, Supply Chain, or Planning within a high-speed, complex manufacturing environment; aerospace experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated strength in materials and inventory planning, with hands-on ownership of the Master Production Schedule in a multi-product or multi-program environment.
- Proven track record of measurable KPI improvement, including schedule adherence, inventory turns, on-time delivery, and working capital reduction.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance customer demand, production capacity, and supply constraints in a regulated aerospace environment.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence cross-functional partners at the plant and enterprise level.
