MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY (Civil Litigation) - Hybrid

Morrison Mahoney LLP is excited to add a mid-level litigation Associate Attorney to its New Jersey litigation team. With a strong regional presence, our firm offers a supportive environment where attorneys are trusted to take ownership of their cases and collaborate with experienced partners. We are seeking an associate with 4-7 years of civil litigation experience who is ready to step into a role with real responsibility, meaningful mentorship, and the opportunity to grow within the firm.

You ll work on a diverse range of complex civil litigation matters in practice areas such as general liability, construction litigation, employment and labor, and workers compensation.

• Manage your own caseload from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials to gain courtroom experience
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to devise effective litigation strategies
• Provide clear and regular updates to clients on case status
• Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare memoranda to support case strategies
• Assist with overall case management in partnership with senior attorneys

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the New Jersey State Bar
• At least four (4) years of civil litigation experience, with experience in both New Jersey state and federal courts
• Self-starter with strong advocacy skills; proficient in drafting and arguing dispositive motions, legal research, and responding to discovery
• Experience taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions; strong attention to detail and effective communication
