As a Deployed Transformation Engineer, you will build and deliver technology solutions that improve how Avis Budget Group operates. As part of the Transformation organization, you will help shape the next generation of applications that enable smarter decisions, better efficiency, and stronger business outcomes.

The solutions you build will be used by thousands of people across our global operations, powering daily work and decisions at every level of the company. In this role, you’ll guide both the technical direction and the collaboration between our engineering and business teams. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the company to identify challenges, prototype and refine solutions, and help scale them into production‑ready systems.

Why

This Role

This is not a traditional engineering role. It’s a chance to shape how a global business operates. You’ll be on the front lines of innovation, working side by side with operators, analysts, and executives to turn ideas into scalable systems that power the next era of Avis Budget Group.

What You'll Do
  • Build solutions that are intuitive, reliable, and truly adopted by end users – ensuring the tools you create deliver real value in day‑to‑day operations.
  • Collaborate with business and operations teams to understand workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and define technical requirements.
  • Develop and iterate on technical solutions for complex business challenges, from concept through deployment.
  • Quickly understand and enhance existing applications and production workflows, including those that support critical business operations.
  • Support solution rollouts and adoption through documentation, user support, and training.
What we're looking for
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, or Physics.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or Type Script/JavaScript and familiarity with modern frameworks and development tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to bridge technical and non-technical discussions effectively.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and prioritizing for maximum business impact.
  • Willingness to travel 10–25% to collaborate with field teams and support deployments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web application development.
  • Understanding of modern web design principles and responsive interfaces.
  • Prior experience working in transformation, analytics, or operations technology projects.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $60,000 – $85,000. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, work experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
