The Reporting & Business Analytics Lead owns Advan Six’s enterprise reporting and decision‑intelligence layer across the organization. This leader turns governed data into trusted stories, KPIs, and self‑service analytics, driving adoption, action and measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities- Own the enterprise reporting strategy and roadmap aligned to business OKRs and the Enterprise Data Strategy.
- Translate business goals into data products (semantic models, dashboards, scorecards) with explicit owners, SLAs and adoption plans.
- Define and maintain KPI canon and metric reconciliation rules with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Health/Safety/Environmental and Commercial.
- Run an agile delivery cadence (sprint planning, demos, releases) for analytics products and executive reporting.
- Prioritize a transparent backlog balancing quick wins and foundational work (performance, quality, reusability).
- Lead UAT, certification and release management for reports and datasets.
- Craft executive‑ready narratives that connect insights to actions; enable leaders to “see, decide, act.”
- Establish enablement for power/basic users; publish “How we measure” guides and KPI storyboards.
- Track adoption and value: MAU, query volume, decision cycle time, realized impact (e.g., scrap, demurrage, energy).
- Co‑design semantic models atop the Unified Data Layer and SAP Data Sphere; enforce modeling standards, RLS, data contracts and naming conventions.
- Ensure BI assets avoid direct system scraping and use governed, certified datasets and APIs.
- Manage embedded vendor pods; set SOW goals, DoD/acceptance criteria and quality gates.
- Build an internal bench (BI architect/engineer) and mentor citizen developers under Power Platform CoE guardrails.
- Partner with Data Governance and MDM to embed stewardship, lineage, data quality rules, KPI canon and access controls.
- Define performance SLAs, test coverage and observability (refresh, latency, cost, failures) for BI/analytics.
- Enforce role‑based access, RLS and DLP policies; ensure PII/HSE data handling aligns with policy.
- Coordinate with Cyber/IT on environment strategy, gateways and change control.
- Minimum 8 years in enterprise BI/analytics with at least 3 years leading cross‑functional analytics programs.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or industry.
- Tool and stack requirements: SAP S/4
HANA data structures, SAP Data Sphere, Microsoft Power BI and SQL databases. Working fluency with the Microsoft Power Platform. - Experience leading vendors/managed services and negotiating outcome‑based SOWs.
