As a Lead Deployed Transformation Engineer
, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and delivering technology solutions that improve how Avis Budget Group operates edded within the Transformation organization, you’ll help shape the next generation of applications that enable smarter decision‑making, improved efficiency, and stronger business outcomes across the company.

The systems you help create will be used daily by thousands of employees across global operations. This role blends hands‑on engineering with close collaboration across business, operations, and leadership teams. You’ll work directly with stakeholders to identify challenges, prototype solutions, and scale them into production‑ready systems that drive meaningful impact.

This is not a traditional engineering position. It’s an opportunity to shape how a global organization operates by working side by side with operators, analysts, and executives. You’ll be on the front lines of innovation, turning ideas into systems that power the next era of Avis Budget Group.

• Build intuitive, reliable solutions that are widely adopted and deliver real value in daily operations
• Partner with business and operations teams to understand workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and define technical requirements
• Lead technical solution development from concept through deployment for complex business challenges
• Improve and extend existing production systems, supporting deeply embedded operational workflows
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
• Work with IT and enterprise technology teams to scale prototypes into sustainable production systems
• Support user adoption through clear documentation, training, and communication

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, Physics, or a related engineering field
• 3+ years of professional experience solving complex, real‑world problems in business‑facing or customer‑facing environments
• Demonstrated experience leading end‑to‑end software development, from ideation to deployment and scaling
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Type Script/Java Script , and familiarity with modern development frameworks and tools
• Strong ability to engage directly with business stakeholders and translate requirements into actionable technical solutions
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non‑technical discussions
• Comfort operating in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments while prioritizing for maximum business impact
• Willingness to travel 10–25% to collaborate with field teams and support deployments

• Experience leading cross‑functional engineering projects in transformation, analytics, or operations technology
• Familiarity with full‑stack web development and progressive web application design
• Strong understanding of system design principles, security, and performance optimization
• Prior experience in consulting, forward‑deployed engineering, or hybrid engineering/business roles

The annual starting salary range for this position is $125,000 – $155,000
, based on factors such as location, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
