The HR Coordinator supports daily human resources operations by providing administrative, system, and coordination support across the employee lifecycle. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate records, supporting recruiting and onboarding efforts, and assisting employees with routine HR needs while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as an initial resource for employees seeking guidance on HR processes, benefits information, and general policy questions.
  • Maintain and organize employee records and HR documentation in accordance with retention and compliance standards.
  • Assist with interview scheduling, candidate correspondence, and coordination of hiring activities.
  • Support onboarding activities including new hire setup, orientation coordination, and first-day preparation.
  • Enter and update employee information in HR systems, ensuring accuracy for status changes, new hires, and separations.
  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, and tracking of workforce metrics such as headcount and attendance where applicable.
  • Provide administrative support for timekeeping, payroll validation, and resolution of basic timecard discrepancies.
  • Support HR-led employee relations processes through documentation and administrative coordination.
  • Assist with internal HR communications, employee programs, meetings, and training logistics.
  • Order supplies, support departmental organization, and perform additional HR-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred.
  • One to three years of experience in an HR, administrative, or office support role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Clear communication skills and a service-oriented approach to employee support.
  • Exposure to HR systems, onboarding, recruiting coordination, or compliance documentation preferred.
