Caring people to make hospice patient smile

Overview

Serenity Hospice Care operates in facilities and in patients' homes across New Jersey, including locations such as Tinton Falls, Brick, Freehold, Newark, Lakewood, Toms River, East Orange, Hammonton, Galloway, and others. We are seeking volunteers who can contribute time and energy to support patients and the organization.

Volunteering options are flexible to fit your schedule and location preferences. You can provide companionship, engage in activities such as reading, watching TV, conversations, and gentle presence. If direct patient volunteering is not your interest, administrative assistance in our office is available, including clerical duties.

• Direct Patient Volunteers:
  Visit patients in facilities, offer companionship through listening, conversation, reading, or watching TV; share talents such as pet therapy, music, art, knitting when possible; report any needs observed to staff; travel time is reimbursed.
• Administrative Volunteers:
  Perform office duties such as filing, phones, mailers, supply organization; located at 56 Georgetown Road, Bordentown, NJ 08505.

• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• We welcome volunteers with special talents (e.g., pet therapy, music, art, knitting).
• Positive, compassionate people who are reliable and able to commit time to patients.
