Step Up Family Services provides specialized support such as advocacy for children, outpatient therapy, in-home therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services, and classroom support training. Role Description

This is a part-time with full-time opportunity on-site role for a Behavioral Therapist located in and around Parsippany, New Jersey. This type is within the homes of Children and Families, where the behaviors happen and biggest needs are.

The Behavioral Therapist/Behavior Technician will work directly with children and their families to deliver effective therapy services, with a focus on implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques. Key responsibilities include assessing client needs, developing and implementing behavior intervention plans, monitoring progress, and collaborating with families, teachers, and other professionals to create supportive environments for children. The therapist will also provide guidance to help clients enhance their emotional well-being and interpersonal skills.

Rate of Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 p/hr

Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and behavior analysis techniques
  • Proficiency in working with children
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Behavioral Science, or a related field
  • Relevant experience in implementing therapeutic programs for children
  • Commitment to professional development and adapting to tailored treatment approaches
