About the role
Regulatory Reporting is looking for a driven individual to assume a critical role within the Policy Reporting and Proof of Coverage (POC) Department. Responsibilities include monitoring the timeliness & accuracy of our Workers Compensation data to Regulatory Organizations, identifying system issues, and assisting our internal & external customers with all Policy & POC inquiries.
Key responsibilitiesIdentify disconnects, omissions, and errors in underwriting issuance and servicing processes to reduce carrier fines and insured penalties.
Interpretation and dissemination of Regulatory requirements/updates and their potential impacts on underwriting processes, issuance systems requirements.
Make recommendations on and assist in the coordination of systems changes to maintain data compliance/quality. Responsibilities include writing, testing, and implementing the new/updated requirements
Review U/W systems to confirm accuracy of submissions/issuances.
Facilitate communication, cohesion and resolution among underwriters, brokers, and insureds. Attend broker meetings when necessary
Research and clear system and state returned errors from the reporting system in a timely manner by working with the Internal and External parties. Investigate, identify the root cause, and provide solutions for management.
Strong analytical & excellent organizational skills
1+ year of business experience. Insurance experience is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated, ability to multitask
Ability to streamline and automate existing processes
Work well both independently and as part of a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to provide training and guidance
The base salary range for this position in NJ is $54,000 to $62,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we’re proud to offer a range of competitive benefits, a summary of which can be viewed here: US Benefits Overview.
