Technical Engineering Training Specialist - In Vitro Diagnostics
Location: Parsippany, NJ (Training Center and customer facilities)
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Technical Engineering Training Specialist to develop and conduct comprehensive training programs for both internal and external customers on our complete product line, including instruments, reagents, and digital products. This role is essential in ensuring customers achieve the highest level of understanding and functionality with our offerings.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Deliver training on the product line to new hire Engineers across all system types, from installation to decommissioning, through in-person, virtual, or streaming methods.
- Provide training to customer Biomedical Engineers (BMETs) during annual preventive maintenance and basic curative sessions, utilizing various training formats.
- Conduct lectures on product safety, installation, programming, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation, adhering to established course outlines and materials.
- Administer written and practical examinations, providing grades to the Training Coordinator or Director.
- Maintain training department equipment in optimal working condition, ensuring all instruments are current on preventive maintenance and technical bulletins.
- Observe trainees and address their questions during classroom sessions.
- Regularly review and update training materials to ensure continuous improvement and proper archiving of retired documents.
- Participate in meetings and seminars to gather information for enhancing the training program.
- Ensure all training classes have the necessary analyzers, reagents, and printed materials ready before sessions begin.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
- 2 to 4 years of experience with our product line or 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role; training experience is a plus.
- Proficient in database software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with company‑specific software is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret business and technical documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated typing and keyboarding skills.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally, if required (up to 10%).

Compensation and Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package, including medical, dental, vision, FSA, 401(k), PTO, life and disability insurance, and a comprehensive leave program. The anticipated salary range for this position in New Jersey is $70,000–$85,000, depending on various factors. This role may also be eligible for a performance-based bonus plan.
