Title: VP of Product Management

Location: Hybrid position in Parsippany, NJ

Mission of the Role: Define and drive OLI’s product vision and roadmap, transforming customer challenges into breakthrough solutions. You’ll embed AI at the heart of product — accelerating expert workflows, surfacing predictive insights, and lowering the barrier to adoption — all while preserving scientific rigor and trust. The Product Manager will bridge science, engineering, design, and the market, making tough prioritization calls, rallying cross-functional teams, and translating long-term vision into actionable roadmaps. The Product Manager will also work with the design team to ensure product vision is strong and well regarded.

Key Responsibilities

Vision & Roadmap

  • Define and own OLI’s product vision and strategy to develop a roadmap across verticals
  • Align roadmap with customer feedback, research pipeline, and long-term platform vision
  • Identify where AI can amplify existing use cases or unlock new ones, balance bets accordingly.

Design & Experience

  • Apply design thinking to workflows and interfaces, ensuring usability and adoption by technical users
  • Architect human + AI interactions: automation, suggestion, confirmation, fallback modes
  • Simplify complexity, turn advanced chemistry models into intuitive tools that engineers and operators can trust and enjoy using

Stakeholder Alignment

  • Run a structured intake and prioritization process for requests
  • Communicate roadmap decisions with transparency and clarity
  • Customer Engagement
  • Act as the voice of the customer in roadmap decisions
  • Lead customer advisory boards, discovery interviews, and feedback loops

Execution & Delivery

  • Partner with engineering and research to translate requirements into deliverables
  • Track progress, resolve blockers, and report outcomes to Leadership
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence
  • Monitor trends in advanced modeling, sustainability pathways, and digital chemistry
  • Ensure OLI stays differentiated against competitors and substitutes

Key Metrics of Success

  • Roadmap clarity and adoption across Leadership (≥ +60 NPS internal satisfaction)
  • On-time delivery of major roadmap milestones
  • Measurable adoption of new features by customers (≥ 50% of target customers within 12 months)
  • Customer engagement: ≥ 4.5/5 satisfaction with product direction in executive reviews
  • Contribution to revenue growth via roadmap-driven deals (directly or indirectly attributable)
We’re Looking For
  • Advanced chemical, petroleum or materials engineering degree strongly preferred
  • 8+ years in product management or adjacent leadership roles in software, modeling, or industrial technology
  • Proven track record of bringing complex technical products to market
  • Design sensibility—experience shaping intuitive, user-centered products or processes
  • Builder-coach leadership style, high integrity, strong communicator and collaborator
