Job Description:

• To increase veterinary technology students’ proficiency in the basic animal care and husbandry skills that are required by the program accrediting agency and are necessary for program and job success.
• To promote an appreciation of the personal responsibility of Registered Veterinary Technicians to provide dedicated compassionate and thorough treatment to animals under their care.
• To allow animal patients in the Veterinary Technology Program increased contact with human care-providers in a non-threatening environment.
• To promote a spirit of teamwork and an attitude of honesty and professionalism when caring for patients and clients.
• Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester.
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
• Adhere to College's confidentiality policy.
• Successfully pass background/drug screening.
• Answer phone and take messages.
• Clerical duties such as filing, data entry, copying and faxing.
• Open and sort mail.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new technology.
• Assist with special projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
