We offer a wide range of products for the thread-forming industry, including flat, cylindrical, planetary, trimming, rack and segmented carbide dies, serving automotive, die mold, aerospace, energy, heavy industry, and dental markets.

We seek a Machine Operator/Setup I to join our growing team! In this role, you will set up and operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) mills, machining centers, or grinders to perform multiple machining and cutting operations. You will load and unload work, work from work orders and blueprints, set and check various quality gauges, and make offsets to CNC control to contain part size variations.

This position reports to the Shift Supervisor.

• Read and interpret work orders, drawings/blueprints to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences.
• Prepare and preset all tools needed for machining operations.
• Mount, align, and secure tooling, attachments, and the workpiece(s) on the machine.
• Calculate and set machine controls to position the spindle relative to the workpiece and regulate cutting depth, feed, speed, and coolant flow.
• Perform first piece and in-process inspection on work produced, and enter offset adjustments into machine controls to correct out-of-tolerance dimensions.
• Discuss part program issues with supervisor or programmer to resolve deficiencies.
• Clean machine(s), tooling, and product.
• Resharpen tooling used on production equipment.

• High school diploma or equivalent of 5+ years of applicable work experience.
• 1–3 years of CNC experience preferred.
• Working knowledge with tight tolerances.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of inspection tools and ability to perform part inspection.
• Basic comprehension of shop mathematics and ability to work with metric and standard units.
• Demonstrated ability to operate multiple machines and multitask.

• Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift equipment to 50 lbs.

$19.95 – $24.70 per hour, depending on experience + monthly bonus potential.
