Senior Architect

For our upcoming Expo 2030 project, a Parma-based design team is expanding. We are seeking a-level Architect who will work under the leadership of LAVA Co-founder Chris Bosse in Sydney and in close collaboration with our global studios.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the design and development of architectural projects from concept to completion.
Oversee and mentor junior architects and designers, ensuring design quality, technical accuracy, and alignment with project goals.
Develop and manage Revit models and documentation, maintaining BIM coordination and quality control across all project stages.
Use Rhino and Grasshopper for conceptual modeling and design development (advantageous but not mandatory).
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, efficient, and sustainable design solutions.
Supervise project timelines, deliverables, and budgets, ensuring creative excellence and technical precision.
Integrate sustainable design strategies, materials innovation, and contemporary construction technologies.
Contribute to design reviews, competitions, and presentations across LAVA’s global studio network.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred).
5–8 years of professional experience in architectural design and documentation.
Advanced proficiency in Revit is essential.

Experience with Rhino and Grasshopper is a strong plus.
Solid knowledge of building systems, construction processes, and sustainable design principles.
Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills, with fluency in English (additional languages is a plus).
Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects independently.
Passion for innovative, human‑centred, and sustainable design.
