Employer DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis (DSD) at Broadview Nursing Home, 5520 Broadview Road, Parma, OH 44134

Schedule 3 days a week, 12+ hour shifts; no on-call; alternating Saturdays required; some travel to other SNF clinics within the region.

Training Paid hands-on training provided; training may occur in a facility or training clinic with a class of new teammates.

Environment DaVita Kidney Care is introducing DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis Services to SNF facilities to support dialysis care onsite.

In this role, you take responsibility for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track. DSD RNs will troubleshoot and make sound decisions related to dialysis treatment, and may partner with SNF staff to coordinate care. Primary work schedule includes 3-4 days per week with some travel; alternating Saturdays required.

Your impact on the lives of patients and their families will be felt daily. You will conduct patient education for patients and families in the SNF setting.

Direct Patient Care:
Independently demonstrate best practice techniques and deliver optimal dialysis care. The role includes supervising Dialysis Technicians who deliver tandem care to meet capacity and efficiency goals.

Complexity and Autonomy: DSD dialysis is a complex service line requiring multitasking to meet needs of the service, patients, and SNF partners. Provide comprehensive patient care in an autonomous setting and apply core nursing skills to assess, diagnose, and implement care plans.

• Training includes classroom and hands-on learning through DaVita’s training programs.
• Training may occur in a facility or training clinic with a class of new teammates other than the home clinic.
• May be asked to support other local SNF sites.

• Previous Chronic Hemodialysis or Acute Dialysis experience is preferred but not required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice; minimum of 12 months RN experience.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher (Bachelor of Science in Nursing or three-year diploma may be substituted).
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.

  Training/Teaching/Healthcare Education background;
  Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN).
