Primary Teacher: Incarnate Word Academy

Overview

Incarnate Word Academy, located at 6620 Pearl Road in Parma Heights, is a Premier Independent Catholic School serving a diverse group of young learners from Preschool to 8th grade. The Sisters of the Incarnate Word built this school with a commitment to delivering a superior education in an environment rooted in faith with the highest ethical values and conduct. We strive to inspire and support each student to achieve academic and personal success through advanced classes, enriching clubs and team athletics. IWA has earned the Plain Dealer Top Workplace award for the last 4 years. In addition, we strive to offer a competitive salary for our faculty utilizing a compensation salary. The salary is determined by the candidate’s level of education and years of experience.

IWA also provides financial assistance for continuing education. Our school calendar includes end of the quarter teacher work days, and a beginning and mid-year faculty retreat. We have 2 homerooms per grade level in K-8, with class sizes intentionally kept small to accommodate the learning needs of all students. We are seeking a primary teacher for the  school year. IWA is a designated State of Ohio STEAM school.

Candidates are not required to have a STEM/STEAM background, but would be receptive and enthusiastic to collaborate with others and engage in this learning. Candidates should conduct themselves in a manner that is compatible with and supportive of the teachings and mission of the Sisters of the Incarnate Word, the Diocese of Cleveland, and the Roman Catholic Church.
