The Opportunity

An entry level opportunity to join Australia's leading peadiatric health service provider!

As an Environmental Service Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment across both clinical and non-clinical areas of the hospital. Reporting to the Environmental Services Supervisor, you will ensure that your practices adhere to Infection Control guidelines and the Cleaning Standards for Victorian Health Facilities.

Please note, this position is casual in nature. As rosters are provided in 6-weeks in advance, your first few weeks of employment will consist of staggered shifts.

Your skills and experience

• Knowledge of infection controls principles and procedures
• Well-developed communication skills (verbal and written).
• Previous experience in a hospital setting desirable
• Ability to adapt to a multifunctional and diverse environment.
• Willingness to undertake required training.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to resolve conflict in a professionally.
• Capability to build and maintain good working relationships with a diverse team.
• Physically fit for manual work.

As the hospital operates 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, flexibility to work across morning, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts is required.

Other requirements:

• Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtain
• Valid Working with Children Check
