Aboutthe Pharmacy Department
Our department provides a comprehensive pharmacy service to all patients of the hospital. A high degree of specialised service is provided in clinical areas, medicines information, antimicrobial stewardship, quality use of medicine, research and clinical trials. We are a passionate, supportive and driven team who works cohesively together to focus on quality patient centred care. We seek a keen and enthusiatic pharmacist to support the medication safety project.
The successful applicant will participate in a wide range of pharmacy services in all areas of the department.
As a clinical pharmacist at the Women’s you will provide comprehensive support for the provision of pharmacy services within your remit.
A re gular day will s ee you:
- Perform medication reconciliation processes, resolve medication related issues, provide medicine information and counsel patients
- Ensure appropriate medicine usage through implementation of hospital policy, and through liaison with medical and nursing staff
- Support training and mentoring program, including supervision of intern pharmacists and pharmacy students
You will be someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who enjoys working as part of a team committed to excellence in patient care.
To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:
- A Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent plus current and full AHPRA registration without restrictions as a Pharmacist
- General Pharmacy knowledge and experience relevant to the position
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills
- A positive attitude and professional manner in keeping with our philosophy of a strong customer/patient focus
