You'll have the opportunity to teach and refine a cutting-edge course that empowers healthcare professionals, data scientists, and researchers.

Collaborate with a dynamic education team, enhance course materials, and contribute to the advancement of healthcare through data-driven innovation.
** Your responsibilities will include:
** Organise guest speakers for workshops, leveraging personal networks and sector knowledge.

You will have a postgraduate qualification in data science and experience in the Australian healthcare system, with the ability to apply AI and machine learning to healthcare data Have a PhD or equivalent professional experience in data science within a healthcare organisation.

Have experience with Australian healthcare data, including retrieval, transformation, and analysis. Be available for evening workshops in 2026 and able to commit one day per week to the role.  teaching experience in higher education and familiarity with tools like

This team has been awarded the national ASCILITE Innovation Award and the University’s Norman Curry Award for Innovation and Excellence in Educational Programs for its short courses.

Additionally, the team has previously won a high-profile contract with the Australian Digital Health Agency, the federal government agency responsible for digital health in Australia. This tender was to work with CSIRO and HL7 Australia to deliver workforce training essential for national plans to implement modern interoperability standards for healthcare IT (The National FHIR Training Program).
