** As a pivotal member of our grant project, you will lead the development of a real-time cortisol sensing device, transforming healthcare monitoring. You will collaborate with industry partners and research collaborators, contributing to cutting-edge advancements in biosensing.
Your role will include overseeing laboratory functions, publishing research outcomes, and co-supervising students, offering you the opportunity to enhance your skills and impact the field of biomedical engineering.
** Your responsibilities will include:
*** Conduct Advanced Research:
Undertake chemical sensing of biomolecules, material testing, and electrochemical evaluations, maintaining confidentiality of commercially sensitive results.
* Collaborate and Communicate:
Present findings at research meetings, liaise with research collaborators and industry partners, and publish outcomes in peer-reviewed journals.
* Manage Laboratory Operations:
Oversee day-to-day lab functions, maintain stocks, ensure chemical safety, and co-supervise undergraduate and PhD students.
* Engage and Network:
Participate in outreach activities, promote research through media channels, and foster collaborative partnerships with external networks.
** You may be a great fit if:
** You will have a PhD in Biomedical Engineering with expertise in biomolecular engineering, biosensing characterisation, and microfluidic device fabrication, excelling in communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
** You may also:
*** Possess deep knowledge of biochemistry and experience in clinical trials.
* Be familiar with MATLAB or LabVIEW for data analysis and device programming.
* Demonstrate outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.
* Thrive in managing competing priorities and exhibit excellent time management skills.
* Have a desire to work on industry-related research, contributing to innovative healthcare solutions.
