Job Summary

Under limited supervision, the Electrician repairs, maintains, and performs preventative electrical repairs on plant machinery and buildings.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities
  • HVAC, Welder, Electrical Component, Air Compressor, and Basic Industrial Equipment Repair.
  • HVAC, Welder, PLC, and Electrical Component Diagnosis.
  • Read and Draw Wire Schematics.
  • Identification of Part Numbers.
  • Computer Diagnostic of Equipment.
  • Basic Fabrication and Mobile.
  • Repairs electrical problems on buildings.
  • Repairs electrical problems on machinery.
  • Performs other mechanical maintenance.
  • Identify and report any unsafe working conditions or equipment.
  • Follows all OSHA safety requirements, work rules and instructions, ISO procedures, job safety analysis (JSAs) and company policies and promotes a safe culture.
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is necessary in order to perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Plumbing.
  • PLC Diagnosis.
  • Blue Print Certification.
  • Arc Flash Training.
  • Confined Space Advanced Course.
Work Hours / Shift
  • Work hours vary or change based on operational needs.
  • Must be able to work on Saturdays and overtime as required.
Education / Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications
  • Must be able to use meters and scope for problem solving.
  • On the job training by supervisor.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
