The Skilled Service Technician provides necessary building maintenance to maintain the hospital’s buildings and when necessary to repair, replace, and sometimes construct hospital properties and their content to provide a livable and workable environment for employees, patients, and the community served. In order to complete assigned duties, the Skilled Service Technician will have access to all clinical and non-clinical departments including locked medication rooms on nursing units.
** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS****:
**** EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
** 1. HVAC License or Plumbing License or Electrician Journeyman or equivalent Certification/License
** OR
* * Associates degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
2. Valid Driver’s License.

* EXPERIENCE:
** 1. Five (5) years of appropriate experience, (Armed Forces training, Training Program in industry could qualify), in one or more specialty areas of heating ventilation, air conditioning, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, construction.
** PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS****:
**** EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
** 1. Two years of technical school training in trades.
2. Pool operations certified (COP).

5. Demonstrate knowledge of parking/hospital department locations.
6. Demonstrate knowledge and adheres to dress code.
7. Demonstrates knowledge of CCMC Compliance Program/Code of Conduct/Confidentiality.
8. Demonstrates knowledge of CCMC Emergency Management Plan
9. Demonstrates knowledge of physical health/wellness information and Exposure Control Plan
10. Demonstrates knowledge of Office/workplace safety.
11. Demonstrates knowledge of Risk Management/Occurrence Report Practices/Non-punitive Work Environment.
12. Maintain established department and hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environment, infection and hazardous material control.
