About This Position
This position is responsible for supporting restaurant operations and alcoholic beverage management. The incumbent ensures an exceptional dining experience for guests, catering, carry‑out, delivery, and event customers, while training service staff and maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment. Responsibilities include oversight of costs, pricing, and profitability, assisting the District Manager with legal beverage operations and compliance, and working closely with the Supervisor on overall food and beverage management.
Responsibilities,Duties & Accountabilities
- Assist the District Manager and supervise restaurant operations, staff management, and exceptional dining experiences.
- Ensure the highest standards of quality, service, and merchandising for the restaurants.
- Treat guests with utmost respect and professional courtesy throughout all service interactions.
- Train and develop staff on marketing, daily specials, and customer service, including beverage and dessert promotion.
- Mentor employees and address performance and relations issues.
- Provide staff training on food preparation, safety, and legal requirements, including Serv Safe certification.
- Fill in for absent staff to maintain coverage.
- Handle customer complaints with professionalism and train staff in complaint resolution.
- Ensure staff receive required food handling and safety training and permits.
- Assist with purchasing, inventory control, legal beverage compliance, and reporting.
- Enforce age‑21 protocols and manage customer alcohol consumption responsibly.
- Maintain a clean environment by cross‑training in bussing and cleaning duties.
- Train staff on payment policies, processes, and controls.
- Accurate inventory tracking, especially for legal beverages, and report results to leadership.
- Show proactive interest in customer satisfaction and community relationships.
- Teach and enforce company policies, SOPs, and safety protocols.
- Lead completion of departmental checklists and SOP adherence.
- High School Diploma or GED; college coursework in Management, Accounting, or Business preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of food and beverage management experience.
- At least 2 years of employee management and training experience.
- At least 2 years working with legal beverages, including cost control and regulatory compliance.
- Above‑average knowledge of food and beverage operations and legal beverage regulations.
- Experience with inventory, costing, and security controls.
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office, POS systems, and technology navigation.
- Strong customer service experience handling public concerns and complaints.
- Ability to build effective work relationships and communicate professionally.
- Sound decision‑making under pressure and strategic business judgment.
- Discretion in handling confidential information.
