Clinical Nurse Specialist-ICU​/CVICU

Minimum Qualifications

• BSN
• Master of Science in Nursing and/or related field
• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).

• Three (3) years of progressive clinical and/or managerial experience

• Supports the Plan for Patient Care and facilitates the delivery of nursing care via the Collaborative Practice Model.
• Demonstrates knowledge of area’s Service Line and assures the provision of area of specialty nursing care in accordance with specialty, regulatory and CCMC practice standards.
• Assists with the development of area/program strategic plans reflective of corporate goals to facilitate effective progress.
• In conjunction with Service Line Department Head, identifies department/program Performance Management Plan processes with staff participation to identify patient care issues/problems and to develop action plans to resolve problems, improve outcomes and exceed customer expectations.
• In conjunction with Service Line Department Head, trains staff to provide competent care through development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of department/program competencies based orientation, education and evaluation programs.

• Cognizant of environmental factors, infection control issues and maintains a safe environment.
