Overview
This position is dayshift that works Monday through Friday.
SummaryResponsible for professionally greeting clients and ensuring an orderly and efficient check-in process. Responsible for acquiring financial and insurance information from client or guardian and performing data entry of information into electronic health records. Provides administrative support services to achieve the goals of Westbrook Health Services. Provides basic clerical support by answering phone calls and directing visitors. This position may also require creating and maintaining telehealth connections between clients and providers.
Qualifications- Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills
- Able to use basic office machines and computer systems
- Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately to convey and receive correct information
- Ability to work with staff, clients and family members in a professional, cooperative, ethical and respectful manner
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people
- Ability to effectively convey the mission of Westbrook Health Services
- High school diploma/GED; prior computer/PC experience is preferred
- Experience using an electronic health record or medical scheduling software preferred
- Customer service or medical office experience preferred
- Must pass Criminal Investigation Background and DHHR Background Checks as well as an observed urine drug screen
- Coordinate client appointments
- Conduct referral and intake interviews with client
- Enter and update electronic health records
- Verify client insurance prior to appointments and enter funding sources following company procedures
- Request records from other facilities to ensure continuity of care
- Communicate with outside agencies regarding the provision or scheduling of services
- Collect payments from client, providing proper receipts and securing the funds
- Provide administrative clerical support to our 7th street location
- Operate the telephone to forward calls or take messages as appropriate
- Greet persons entering the building, determine nature of visit and notify appropriate staff of their arrival
- Maintain training compliance as required by Westbrook Health Services

- Mobility and ability to sit for long periods of time, use a standard computer keyboard and telephone are required functions.
- Ability to bend, reach and lift up to 20 pounds and to occasionally stand and walk within building.
