Performs a full range of nuclear medicine diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures to provide optimum information for the diagnosis and/or treatment of patients.
Minimum Qualifications- Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
- Must possess current or temporary Nuclear Medicine license as required by state board where services will be provided.
- MD:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist through Maryland Board of Physicians. - OH:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist through Ohio Department of Health. - PA:
No state license required. - VA:
Radiological Technologist license through the Virginia Board of Medicine. - WV:
Nuclear Medicine License OR Nuclear Medicine Apprentice License through West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board. - Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Board (NMTCB) as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within six months of hire.
- Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
- State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.
- No experience required.
- All Nuclear Medicine Technologists with less than 12 months of experience enter at Level one.
- Meets requirements for previous level.
- One year of experience.
- Complete competency of Skill Set Tech 1, plus 1 additional skill set.
- Meets requirements for previous levels.
- One continuing education pathway.
- Three years of experience.
- Compliant in 3 leadership/supervisory skills.
- Complete competency of Skill Set Tech 1 and 2, plus 3 additional skill sets.
- Meets requirements for previous levels.
- One continuing education pathway.
- Five years of experience.
- Compliant in 5 leadership/supervisory skills.
- Complete competency of Skill Set Tech 1, 2, and 3 plus 5 additional skill sets.
