Brief Description
Position responsible for direct, basic and supportive care to Consumers within a program.
Education And/or Experience- High School Diploma/GED.
- Must pass Criminal Investigation Background and DHHR background checks as well as post offer drug screen.
- Provides orientation to program, i.e.: rules and regulations, expectations.
- Provides an outlined daily schedule of activities.
- Search incoming client’s belongings and do an itemized documentation of those belongings.
- Complete all necessary intake paperwork to include signatures from client’s.
- Complete discharge paperwork with clients and ensure all belongings are accounted for prior to client departure.
- Provides oversight and intervention to consumers to ensure a safe and cooperative recovery environment.
- Ensures that clients attend group and scheduled meetings on time unless excused.
- Supervises clients in the completion of their daily ADL and chores.
- Eats meals and interacts with clients; role modeling positive behavior and redirecting negative self-talk and glorifying past behaviors.
- Records a detailed account of the consumers behavioral and staff interactions in the daily shift notes.
- Prepares and cooks meals and snacks, completes laundry and other general household activities necessary to maintain sanitary conditions and general housekeeping upkeep.
- Provides a shift report to oncoming shift to ensure a smooth transition of care.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet consumer and agency needs.
- Complies with federal, state and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintains confidentiality of all information and complies with HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and supports Westbrook Health Services mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards and code of ethical behavior.

- Understanding of Electronic charting systems and Microsoft office applications.
- Ability to work in an environment of constant exposure to clients.
