Vision, Inspiration, Creator, Mobilizer of People, Influential and Strategic are words that summarize this role. The Vice President of Expansion serves a crucial role in the exponential growth, and forward progress of the mission of YFC, through Chapter Leadership, Chapters, Church partner sites and Online mobilization. S/he is responsible for overseeing the strategic plan execution and growth of all chapters, church partner sites and the creation of online mobilization.
This includes innovation through, Christ Centered Design thinking, building and equipping excellent teams to creatively build a strong foundation to reach new levels of growth and impact on the field and kingdom partnerships.
S/he works in close relationship with the Office of the President and other division VPs to lead and steward the mission of YFC. S/he oversees all department heads inside of the Mission Expansion division (Chapter Advancement, Leadership Pipeline/training, Church Partner Sites, Online Platform) to ensure that the Movement is progressing in a culture of continual, exponential and rapid improvement to fulfil the 10-year Strategic Vision, to see Gen Alpha known as a generation devoted to Christ.
This role also requires spiritual and organizational leadership skills, the ability to work with and through other people, as well as strong communication, management and listening skills. Essential Functions
Promote our interdependent national vision, thoughtfully implement our national strategy, mobilizing resources for this purpose(25%):
- This leader will promote our interdependent national vision, thoughtfully implement our national strategy, mobilize people and manage resources from across the NSC in collaboration with the greater movement of YFC. All of this so that our YFC strategic vision is properly positioned and progressing towards our Vision of seeing Gen Alpha known as a generation devoted to Christ.
Leadership and Management of the Expansion Division(25%):
- In addition to designing strategy, this leader also oversees a team of highly dedicated and talented department heads who will help execute the vision and strategy of the Expansion Division.
- This leader has a close working relationship with all department heads to ensure that the division is producing outcomes that will help achieve our preeminent goal.
- This leader will foster a supportive and collaborative environment where every team member feels valued and empowered. They will cultivate trust, provide clarity, and encourage growth through consistent feedback and development opportunities. By modeling excellence and care, they will create the conditions for their team to thrive and achieve their highest potential.
Organizational and Mission Leadership (15%):
- As a Vice President, this leader will engage in Organizational and cross-division leadership as needed to ensure the mission of YFC is progressing in a culture of continual improvement in line with our core values. This includes our operating priority of interdependence.
- Set a course of Exponential Chapter Growth in collaboration with Executive field leadership
- Coordination and collaboration with the Office of the President and other division heads to accomplish movement priorities is essential.
Field Engagement(35%):
- This leader will be responsible for developing and maintaining a “Church site” or “network” site model that engages local churches and like-minded partnership in the relational evangelism of young people.
- This leader will have significant engagement with YFC leaders from across the mission and with Church Site Leadership to ensure that the Expansion Division is appropriately serving and leading the field in line with our desire to reach our preeminent goal.
