Monday - Friday (negotiable hours); first couple months onsite (for training) and then will move to a hybrid position. Must be able to commute to Parker, CO.
Pay range: $27.88 - $30.29 per hour

The Opportunity:We’re searching for an experienced “Accountant” who will exercise judgement and initiative in performing a variety of duties that are essential for the financial health and integrity of Stacey James Institute. The accountant position is a critical position at our organization and will require accuracy in the areas of financial transactions, statements and reports, reconciliation, financial data, audit, tax, budgets/forecasting and payroll processing in addition to other accounting duties.
Responsibilitiesto include but not be limited to:
- Financial transactions: Monthly preparation of financial statements to include balance sheets, income statements, and statement of cash flows. Analyze financial data to identify financial performance and accurately document all financial transactions.
- Prepares monthly and quarterly general ledger account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Payroll processing using Quick Books Online, ADP and Pro Liant.
- Audit and Internal controls: monitor revenue and expenses to ensure they are accurately recorded and reported. Internal audit to identify areas of improvement.
- Budgeting and forecasting: identify financial trends, estimate revenues, project expenses, comprise statistical models to predict future performance.
- Accounts payable
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- 3 - 5 years of proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance or related fields.
- Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Experience and comfortable using Quick Books online required.
- Strong problem-solving attributes, detail oriented with the ability to analyze, solve problems and deal with variables in situations.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Google workspace - particularly with Google sheets (pivot tables, formulas, V-look up, etc.)
- Self-starter who has an ownership mentality, is proactive with communications and is process-minded.
- Salary: $27.88 - $30.29 per hour DOE. Non-exempt status.
- First performance review after 6 months with the potential for pay adjustments based on performance.
