Autonomous Mining Controls Specialist

• Manage and oversee shift activities of autonomous haul truck operations, including equipment, personnel, and materials movement.
• Collaborate closely with the mining operations team and utilize the Mine Star Command system to execute daily mine plans effectively.
• Ensure data accuracy, correct blend management, and adherence to safety protocols in line with the mine plan.
• Prioritize tasks to meet shift objectives, complete shift reports, and document issues for follow-up.
• Employ decision support tools and monitor system performance to meet key performance indicators.
• Develop and implement safety procedures for autonomous haul truck operations, fostering a strong safety culture.
• Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and other departments to optimize operational efficiency.
• Provide training and coaching to team members as needed, and participate in safety meetings and investigations.

• High School diploma or GED with at least five (5) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead roles, OR a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical mining‑related discipline with internship experience in mining or industrial environments.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written safety instructions in English.
• Proficiency in computer operations and applications.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to make complex decisions and prioritize effectively.
• Preferred experience with Fleet Management Systems such as Mine Star Fleet or Modular Mining Dispatch.
• Engineering experience and diverse mining process knowledge are advantageous.
• Excellent conflict management, influencing, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in outdoor, manufacturing, or mine environments with appropriate personal protective equipment.
