Definition of Crossroads' Ministry Residency and Intern Program
The Residency/Intern Program is an internship for college and/or seminary students which contains the following elements:
- The ministry training is similar to that which is available in and through education for future clergy;
- The training is for the benefit of the trainee;
- The trainee is not a replacement for a regular employee, but works under close observation;
- This program is considered to be of greater value to the trainee than to the church;
- Trainees are not necessarily entitled to a job at the conclusion of the program;
- Trainees serve one semester at a time with an option to serve additional semesters if invited by Crossroads.
Note:
This position is posted with Intern hourly rate but may be filled as a Resident for the right candidate. Compensation, including tuition needs, will be discussed if the applicant is attending seminary.
Crossroads Community Church seeks to transform lives through loving relationships with God, each other, and those who don’t know Jesus yet.
