Where You Will Work- 16-bed, Neuro Critical Care Unit will provide specialized nursing care for a wide scope of neuro surgical and medical critical care patient populations. Diagnosis can include:
Ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes s/p TPA, clot retrieval, aneurysm coiling, spine patients, brain tumors/craniotomies, seizures. This unit is designed for nurses with a desire to specialize in neuroscience/stroke healing. The Neuro ICU has a dedicated Neuro Intensivist. EICU 24/7 telemonitoring support.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Illinois
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferably in Critical Care or minimum 1-year nursing experience in surgical telemetry or neuro unit
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
