  36 hours/week

• Shift: 12-hour Nights

• Shift Time: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Weekend Rotation:
  Every other weekend

• On Call:
  None

• Holidays:
  As needed by unit (1 summer / 1 winter)

• Magnet-designated hospital

• Level I Trauma Center

• Level III NICU

• Teaching hospital

• 180 beds

• High-acuity pediatric environment with strong clinical exposure

• Pediatric respiratory services across multiple units

• Patient Types:

  • Acute: RSV, entero-rhino viruses, flu, intubated ICU patients (medical and post-surgical)

  • Chronic:
    Asthma, SMA

• Patient Ratio: 1:1

• Pediatric respiratory experience required

• Certifications:

  • RRT

  • BLS

  • PALS

  • NRP

  • RRT-NPS (preferred)

• Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner

• Pediatric respiratory care experience

• Invasive and non-invasive ventilation

• Servo ventilators

• Inhaled nitric oxide (iNO)

• High-flow oxygen devices

• Aerosol delivery

• Airway clearance techniques

• NICU

• PICU

• General pediatric floors

• Pediatric ER (Floating in rotation)

• Charge therapist often takes a patient assignment

• Strong interdisciplinary pediatric care team

• EMR: EPIC

• Medication Dispensing:
  Pyxis

• IV Pumps:
  Alaris

• 1 shift orientation to learn unit flow

• Scrub Color:
