Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
It is expected that the candidate will present a record of successful experiences that indicate outstanding instructional leadership, collaboration, and performance in the following areas:
Including but not limited to:
Behavioral and Restorative Leadership
* Lead and implement Tier 1 school-wide behavior systems aligned to the district's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.
* Support implementation of restorative practices to promote positive school culture and reduce exclusionary discipline.
* Manage behavioral responses including detention, suspension, 45-day placements, and other interventions consistent with Board policy and state law.
* Conduct student investigations related to behavioral incidents, ensuring due process and accurate documentation.
* Develop, monitor, and communicate behavioral support and re-entry plans following disciplinary actions.
* Collaborate with the Associate Principal for Student Supports to ensure consistent behavioral practices across the building.
Attendance and Engagement
* Monitor and promote student attendance through Tier 1 attendance systems and proactive intervention strategies.
* Implement and manage attendance support plans, addressing chronic absenteeism in collaboration with the Student Services team.
* Oversee social privileges eligibility and communication processes.
* Conduct home visits and family meetings as part of attendance and engagement initiatives.
* Ensure alignment of supports and documentation for attendance.
Student Interventions and Problem Solving
* Support Tier II and Tier III interventions to address student behavioral, attendance, and social-emotional needs.
* Serve as a member of the Student Support Team (SST) and Instructional Support Team (IST) to ensure data-driven, coordinated student interventions.
* Collaborate with counselors, social workers, psychologists and teachers to develop student success and reintegration plans.
* Support the threat assessment process in coordination with district and building safety teams.
Bullying Prevention and Response
* Lead building-level efforts for bullying prevention, response, and reporting, ensuring compliance with state mandates and district policies.
* Conduct investigations into alleged incidents of bullying, harassment, or intimidation, and communicate findings to appropriate parties.
* Support proactive programming and staff professional learning related to positive climate and culture.
Operational Responsibilities
* Oversee parking assignments, supervision coverage, and student movement logistics.
* Supervise and evaluate assigned certified and non-certified staff, providing coaching, feedback, and performance documentation.
* Assist in planning and implementing student supervision systems during the school day and at after-school events.
* Support safety and behavioral protocols during crisis situations in collaboration with administrative and student services teams.
* Maintain accurate data and records related to student attendance, behavior, and interventions.
* Other duties and responsibilities as determined by the Administration and/or Board of Education.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
* Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a General Administrative or Principal Endorsement required.
* Completion of Illinois Performance Evaluation Growth Through Learning training modules (PERA-qualified).
* Demonstrated experience in student discipline, restorative practices, and behavior management preferred.
* Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills required.
* Spanish language proficiency preferred
* A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is required.
Salary/Benefits

* 10-month position
* 195 Total Paid Work Days

August 3, 2026
* End Date:
June 3, 2027
* Competitive Benefits
* The base salary shall range from $95,000 to $135,000 (this amount does not reflect the Board-paid TRS).

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Performance will be evaluated annually by the Principal in accordance with District 207's administrative evaluation procedures and aligned to district priorities.
