Position OverviewThe Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Dietary Manager II for the Ludeman Developmental Center located in Park Forest, Illinois to serve as Food Services Manager to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the food services program. The incumbent will manage and direct central dietary operations and orders food and supplies. Supervises planning and preparation of diets and trains professional and para-professional staff regarding food preparation and food nutrition.
Monitors clinical dietitians regarding menu preparation and nutritional reviews to ensure compliance with IDPA, IDPH, CMS, DHS and Center policies and procedures.
- Serves as Food Services Manager for the Ludeman Developmental Center.
- Determines food service needs and orders food on a monthly basis to ensure adequate supplies of food and varieties of food are available with consideration to cultural and social needs of the individuals served.
- Serves as a working supervisor.
- Coordinates and directs proper maintenance and cleanliness of food service, preparation, and storage areas.
- Teaches proper preparation and service of diets.
- Supervises and monitors menu preparation with clinical dietitians to ensure individual nutritional status is reviewed quarterly and documents and records are completed accurately and on time.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties above.
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with courses in dietetics.
- Requires two (2) years of professional experience in a large-scale food service program.
