Overview
Job Summary:
The Front of House Manager oversees all audience-facing operations for Park City Opera, ensuring a welcoming, well-organized, and professional experience for patrons, donors, and community partners. This role includes managing front-of-house activities for mainstage productions as well as curating and overseeing donor and patron experiences at free summer performances, including Park City Opera’s weekly Monday night concerts in partnership with Mountain Town Music.
Timeline & Payment
– Part-Time: ~10 hrs/week
– Pay: $14-$18 per hour, depending on experience
- Manage all front-of-house operations for Park City Opera performances, including audience flow, seating, accessibility, and patron services
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers ushers as needed
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patrons during performances, addressing questions or concerns with professionalism and care
- Coordinate closely with stage management, box office, and venue staff to ensure smooth performance operations
- Support donor relations by helping to plan and deliver elevated experiences for donors and special guests at performances and events
- Curate and manage donor-focused experiences at free community performances throughout the summer, including Monday night concerts with Mountain Town Music
- Assist with audience engagement efforts, including pre-show, intermission, and post-show activities when applicable
- Ensure front-of-house spaces are welcoming, organized, and compliant with safety and accessibility standards
- Provide post-event feedback and reports as requested to support continuous improvement
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage several responsibilities concurrently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and relationship-building.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Familiarity with performing arts environments and knowledge of basic performance logistics. Knowledge and passion for opera and/or classical music
- Car and valid driver’s license
- Experience with front of house operations is a plus
