Bookkeeper Accountant

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth financial operations using Quick Books Online and a construction software suite called Buildertrend. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers and leadership.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
• Reconcile bank and credit card transactions.
• Prepare financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports to review with the owner on regular intervals.
• Maintain and organize financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Work closely with project managers to track job costs and financial performance.
• Handle vendor and subcontractor payments, including tracking subcontractor paperwork and lien waivers.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations.

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Quick Books Online and similar project management software.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of construction accounting and job costing is a plus.
