A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant performs duties under the direct supervision of an Occupational Therapist and as directed by a licensed physician. The COTA is responsible for a patient’s care, implementing occupational therapy modalities and treatment procedures outlined in a therapist‑prepared plan to restore function and prevent disability after illness or injury. All work follows hospital and departmental policies while maintaining the highest quality of patient care.

• Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Preferred:
  Previous experience caring for patients.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
