STATEMENT OF PURPOSE (Job Summary)
The primary focus of this position is assisting in the production of various graphic marketing media and working alongside various departments within the company to effectively achieve goals for the company.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's Degree or higher in Graphics /Arts field and/or equivalent experience working in Graphic design.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud: including Photoshop & Illustrator is REQUIRED.
- Video product knowledge/experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication skills--oral, written, and telephone skills essential.
The Graphic Designer must possess the ability to work on location, independently and collaboratively in developing original digital assets effectively with key people within the organization to assist in coordinating graphics for existing and upcoming marketing projects.
The ideal candidate must be able to portray a positive attitude while working with customers, coworkers, and management through deadline-driven and heavy production situations. The Graphic Designer should possess extensive organizational, project, and time-management skills. Individuals who are creative, idea-driven, and have an eagerness to take on various projects will have the greatest measure of success in this position.
Good attendance and punctuality are a requirement. Working in an organized manner by keeping work spaces tidy and important documents organized is an expectation to ensure efficient and effective working habits. Solid ethical practices and confidentiality while interacting with customers, co-workers and management is a requirement.
The desire to continuously improve through self-directed, company-offered, and external training opportunities is a must.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Coordination of graphics and text for all social media, email, campaigns, paid ads, website images, and product images with descriptions.
- Research new product trends.
- Proof all marketing materials for projects as needed.
- May occasionally travel to company trade shows or other events, < 10%.
- Other assignments and duties as needed for sales, marketing, and salon education departments that help support the company as a whole.
- This job operates in a temperature-controlled office environment.
- Casual dress attire.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax machines, camera/video props, and equipment.
- Visual acuity, speech, hearing, and hand and eye coordination are required.
- Manual dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment.
- Subject to long periods of sitting with repetitive use of hands, fingers, and wrists.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs., bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, twist, and reach.
