Our OpportunityNorth American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Cost Accountant – II to join our team. The ideal candidate will maintain the Company’s standard costing system while ensuring compliance with Corporate policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesYour Priorities
- Runs monthly costing for all NAL part numbers, analyze results, and make adjustments as needed.
- Prepares, analyzes, and posts monthly cost of production, overhead, inventory, and scrap journal entries.
- Calculates monthly royalty payments to shareholder.
- Audits Bills of Material and Routings in the AS/400, reports errors to appropriate personnel, and follows-up to ensure that changes are made.
- Enters standard costs to the system for all purchased components.
- Calculates and analyzes inventory value of general ledger compared to manufacturing stock status.
$55,000 – $75,000
RequirementsCollege degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, plus 2–4 years of experience in an accounting position. Experience in a manufacturing cost accounting position is preferred.
