Job Summary: You will serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team that will provide services in the Crisis Receiving and Stabilization Center (CRSC) to adults 18+ experiencing a behavioral health crisis. In this role, you will provide immediate on-site support and crisis intervention to individuals experiencing mental health crisis by assisting with assessments, stabilization, and the recovery process. Through collaboration with clinical staff, you will participate in the development of Individual Recovery Plans, monitor patient behaviors, and ensure a safe and supportive environment.

As the ideal candidate, you would possess strong communication skills, a background in behavioral health, and a commitment to helping individuals in need.

What You Will Do:

  • Participate in the intake assessment process which includes treatment plans, relevant goals, measurable objectives that serve as indexes for evaluating treatment progress, and realistic time frames for achievement
  • Perform ongoing observation of consumers who are being provided services at the CRSC
  • Assist the consumers to meet their needs by working on established goals developed in coordination with the multidisciplinary team, current service providers, and other natural/family supports
  • Complete and assist with the acquisition of transportation as needed
  • Assist with the triage process for all individuals who present to the CRSC, which includes requesting consent to communicate with individual support system, treatment providers, etc., obtaining basic information such as precipitating factors for the crisis, and coordinating with referral sources
  • Accurately complete documentation as required by regulatory standards
  • Document all (i.e. individual, family, group, and other) applicable interactions per program requirements
  • Actively structure and enhance the development of therapeutic milieu by interacting with and observing consumers, providing supportive counseling, crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed
  • Participate in therapeutic activities and assist consumers in navigating community resources
  • Facilitate socialization activities when appropriate
  • Assist with case management and inter-agency coordination and referral services for consumers
  • Assist consumer's transition from the CRSC back home upon discharge
  • Participate in weekly supervision and team meetings.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 1+ years of experience working with individuals with SMI and SUD.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Training (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Valid Driver's license that is insurable by agency's automobile insurance.
