Job SummaryThis position supports the Credit Risk Review function by assessing credit quality and potential loan loss exposure on a loan-specific or portfolio-wide basis, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities- Conduct credit risk reviews per CRR policy, performing fieldwork, recommending ratings, and completing reviews within established time frames.
- Develop and maintain expertise in areas such as CRE, C&I, Sponsor & Specialty, ABL, Equipment Finance, Public Finance, and Treasury Investments, and participate in ongoing training.
- Participate in continuous monitoring of assigned portfolios per the CRR Policy, evaluating management processes and recommending changes to review frequency when warranted.
- Assess credit and financial information to verify borrower creditworthiness, evaluate the adequacy of current risk ratings and accrual status, ensure relationship manager/underwriter compliance, and verify completeness of credit files.
- Provide feedback to CRR managers and peers on credit/loan quality issues identified during reviews.
- Assist with the completion of summary reports for executive management and the Risk Committee.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- 3–4+ years of experience in credit analysis, quality control, or credit risk review.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently within deadlines.
- Proficient financial statement analysis skills across relevant disciplines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
This position offers a hybrid schedule and may be based in Southington, CT;
Stamford, CT;
White Plains, NY; or Jericho, LI.
Estimated salary range: $95,000–$110,000 USD (actual compensation may vary). The role is eligible for incentive compensation.
