Our client, a growing, fast‑paced organization in the real estate space based in Bergen County, is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst to join their team. This is a newly created role with significant opportunities for growth and advancement.

Salary/Hourly Rate: $100k - $120k

The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial principles, and the ability to clearly communicate complex financial information.

• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning.
• Analyze financial data and key performance indicators to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Provide insightful recommendations to enhance financial performance and business decision‑making.
• Collaborate with department heads to create and manage the annual budgeting process.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts.
• Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, explain variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and present financial reports for executive leadership, highlighting key insights and performance metrics.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and financial reporting tools for regular management reviews.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Partner with business units to provide financial insights and support strategic decision‑making.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analysis to address specific business questions and challenges.
• Evaluate the financial impact of proposed business initiatives and investments.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through audits and reconciliations.

• 5+ years of experience working in an FP&A capacity.
• Hands‑on experience with budgeting and forecasting.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, constantly changing environment and as part of a team.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of and experience with ERP systems.

• Advanced degree preferred but not required.
• Industry experience strongly preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
