Technician II
Transdev in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an experienced Technician II to bolster our team. This position requires the level of knowledge and skills necessary to diagnose and repair commercial vehicles and equipment. This individual must have the ability to effectively work and communicate with employees and customers. Requirements include daily safety inspections, minimal reworks, and maintaining production standards. Particular attention will be on timeliness and quality of repairs.
As a Technician II, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our assets.
- Competitive compensation package of minimum $27.50 – maximum $34.25 per hour
- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
- Sick days: 5 days
- Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating

- Diagnose and accurately perform all phases of vehicle repairs.
- Remove, clean, repair, reinstall, and adjust vehicle components.

- Various scan tool proficiency
- Ensure work orders are properly completed.
- Select appropriate course of action for repairs.
- Evaluate completed work prior to release.
- Ensure safe use of power and hand‑held tools.
- Perform road calls and emergency services, as necessary.
- Move vehicles safely between job and work area.
- Communicate professionally with customers, team members and supervisors.
- Actively participate in safety or educational training as required.
- Continuous ASE/EVT re‑certification is required to remain in job classification.
- Other responsibility as requested or required.
- Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of three (3) years direct automotive repair experience.
- Must have demonstrated experience monitoring and meeting PM schedules and operating automotive repair shop equipment.
- Must have an appropriate mechanic’s tool set.
- Must have excellent communication skills, bringing demonstrated abilities of building solid relationships with superiors, peers, and subordinates.
- Subject to a DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
- The essential functions of this position require the ability to: intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, walking, lifting of light and heavy objects, climbing ladders/stairs/ramps or scaffolding, and using tools and equipment that require a high degree of manual dexterity.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds.
