Forklift Operator, Manufacturing Production
Shift: Monday-Friday 10 AM - 6 PM
- Please do not apply if unable to work the shift hours.
Schedule and process finished goods and sheet rubber through the final inspection process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Assess the quality of the product during the inspection
- Read shop orders
- Process gaskets and other custom products at Clicker Press and Strip Slitter
- Package and make tickets for finished goods
- Assist in the shipping department when needed
- Operate Crane and drive a forklift
- Promote good housekeeping, 5S, and safety practices in all activities completed daily.
- Must be able to perform all tasks assigned.
- Must have the ability to lift 35 lbs. unassisted.
- Must be dependable and demonstrate the ability to follow directions
- Must be a team player
- Ability to operate production equipment
- Forklift certified
- Good knowledge of all safety procedures while operating machinery
- One year or more factory experience or equivalent desired.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and work instructions.
MATH ABILITYAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.
COMPUTER SKILLSIncumbent needs a basic understanding of computers and printers

Works in a manufacturing environment in all types of weather. While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works with manufacturing equipment. An employee performing the duties of this job is required to use proper safety procedures to eliminate any potential hazards. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Work requires moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity. While performing duties of this job, employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, kneel and crouch.
Employee must be able to physically lift, lower, and carry product weighing up to 35 lbs. Will regularly operate forklift, requiring some coordinated movements.
Operating a forklift or other manufacturing equipment is considered a "Safety Sensitive" function. A Safety-Sensitive Function, as defined by the Company, is one that requires the operation of motor vehicles, forklifts, or motorized warehouse equipment, or one that involves inspecting, servicing, conditioning, controlling, supervising, loading or unloading such machinery.
