As SHE‑Q engineer it is your role to promote the awareness and understanding of SHE‑Q policies and NINA values within the Dredging & Inland Infra organization on the project locations as well as in the office.
What will you be doing
Your work as SHE‑Q engineer is quite varied and consists of working for various projects worldwide. Your main tasks and duties include:
- You are the SHEQ project contact person, from management and executives to supervisors and craftsmen.
- You coach and facilitate the process and provide training on‑the‑job and directing of reports.
- You provide SHE‑Q knowledge, documentation and deliverables like Risk Management Support (contributing to Risk Assessments, Job Hazard Analyses, revision of Assessments and Analyses).
- You provide feedback, report and advise management to increase SHE‑Q knowledge and awareness by initiating and organizing training, assessments, client audits, internal audits and sub‑contractor audits.
- You have a vision on the development and implementation of SHEQ policy, programs, and systems.
- You are an ambassador, driven by intrinsic values, for the SHE‑Q programs.
Your qualities
- At least Higher/Secondary vocational education.
- SHE‑Q education on bachelor level (e.g. Nebosh, Quality Management, Auditing)
- Shows NINA leadership and knowledge of SHE‑Q policies, programs and procedures
- Self‑starter, experienced in working in a global environment and dealing with cultural differences
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a global project organization
- In‑depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards, including OSHA, ISO, and other relevant guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Experience in developing and implementing safety management systems and programs.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and address safety risks.
- No problem working on a location for 6 weeks at a stretch after which you will have 4 weeks of leave. Eligible to work in EU.
